Hotel Operating Authorities
Commercial Hotel operators who hold a current gaming machine site licence with an excess of approved machines at the site, must participate in a tender to obtain an ‘operating authority’ for each gaming machine they intend to operate. Tenders are held for 3 regions being South East, Coastal and Western. Authorities numbers available in each tender differ depending on government released authorities and authorities which have been surrendered into the pool.
Hotel operating authority tenders are held intermittently throughout the year by the Public Trustee for Queensland.
